July 1946, Budapest. On July 4, the Magyar Nemzeti Bank issued the 1,000,000 b.-pengő note: one quintillion (10¹⁸) pengő. On July 8, the 10,000,000 b.-pengő: ten quintillion. On July 11, the 100,000,000 b.-pengő: one hundred quintillion (10²⁰) pengő, the highest face value ever put into circulation anywhere, then or since. Prices were doubling roughly every fifteen hours. On August 1 the forint replaced the pengő and the series was over.

This set is all three notes, each sealed and graded by PMG:
