To mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army (1775–2025), the U.S. Mint introduced the first-ever Army privy mark on the Proof Silver Eagle. The small circular privy on the obverse honors the service and history of the United States Army, making this issue one of the most historically important modern Silver Eagles. Mintage for the Army privy Proof is limited to just 100,000 coins, placing it among the lowest-mintage Proof Silver Eagles struck since the series began in 1986.

Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty design, adapted from the 1916–1947 half dollar: Liberty strides toward the rising sun, draped in the U.S. flag and carrying branches of laurel and oak as symbols of civil and military glory.
