Description

2025 W Silver Eagle $1 Army Privy NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo 2-Coin Set Advance Releases Dual Sig Camo

Offered here is a matched 2-coin set of 2025-W American Silver Eagle Proofs with the United States Army 250th Anniversary privy mark, each certified by NGC as PF 70 Ultra Cameo with the coveted Advance Releases designation. Both coins are struck at the West Point Mint in 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver and carry the $1 legal-tender denomination.

To mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army (1775–2025), the U.S. Mint introduced the first-ever Army privy mark on the Proof Silver Eagle. The small circular privy on the obverse honors the service and history of the United States Army, making this issue one of the most historically important modern Silver Eagles. Mintage for the Army privy Proof is limited to just 100,000 coins, placing it among the lowest-mintage Proof Silver Eagles struck since the series began in 1986.

Classic Design with Modern Army Privy

The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty design, adapted from the 1916–1947 half dollar: Liberty strides toward the rising sun, draped in the U.S. flag and carrying branches of laurel and oak as symbols of civil and military glory. On this special issue, the Army 250th Anniversary privy mark is placed to the right of “IN GOD WE TRUST,” integrating a modern tribute into a classic design.

The reverse presents the “Eagle Landing” motif: a powerful bald eagle approaching a landing while carrying an oak branch, designed by Emily Damstra and sculpted/engraved by U.S. Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR and 1 OZ. FINE SILVER.

Two Distinct NGC Presentations

Coin 1 – US Mint Engraver Series Dual Signature (Black Label/Core)

  • NGC US Mint Engraver Series label

  • Limited Edition Dual Signature: hand-signed by John Mercanti (engraver of the original Heraldic Eagle reverse) and Michael Gaudioso (sculptor of the new Eagle Landing reverse)

  • PF 70 Ultra Cameo, Advance Releases, encapsulated in a black core holder with “Limited Edition Dual Signature” banner

This coin unites both Silver Eagle reverse engravers on one label, connecting the classic Type 1 era with the current Type 2 design in a single certified piece.

Coin 2 – Army Camo Core Gaudioso Signature (250th Anniversary Label)

  • Custom Army camouflage core and label with the “250th Anniversary – Army – 1775” emblem

  • Hand-signed by Michael Gaudioso

  • PF 70 Ultra Cameo, Advance Releases designation

The camo presentation and Army anniversary badge give this coin a strong military theme, ideal for collectors with service connections or patriotic displays.
