Description
1993 Yugoslavia 50,000 Dinara Full Pack of 100 Notes w/ Original Bank Band Consecutive UNC
Offered here is a full original pack of 100 consecutive 1993 Yugoslavian 50,000 Dinara banknotes, still tightly sealed in its original official bank band and wrapped in protective plastic. These uncirculated notes are a stark reminder of the catastrophic hyperinflation that struck Yugoslavia in the early 1990s—an economic collapse that saw the dinar rendered virtually worthless within months of issue.
Each banknote is printed with the denomination 50,000 Dinara and features the portrait of Đorđe Petrović (Karađorđe), a Serbian revolutionary leader and national hero. The notes were issued by the National Bank of Yugoslavia during a time of extreme financial instability, civil unrest, and political fragmentation in the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
Authenticity:
This bundle is guaranteed original, factory-wrapped with a stamped brown paper bank band confirming a full count of 100 consecutive notes, totaling 5,000,000 dinars face value. The visible serial number AA 9492034 is consistent with other known issues from this print run. These packs were distributed by banks under tight control during the hyperinflationary peak in 1993, before currency redenomination attempts reset the dinar multiple times.
Historical Significance:
The 1993 hyperinflation of Yugoslavia is one of the worst monetary disasters of the 20th century. At its peak, inflation reached an unimaginable 313 million percent per month, rendering massive denominations like this one obsolete within days. It took only weeks for the 50,000 dinar note to be replaced by ones worth millions and then billions. Few full packs survived untouched, making this an extraordinary relic from a time when currency was printed faster than it could be spent.

Collector’s Value:
A full consecutive pack of 100 uncirculated notes with the original bank wrapper intact is exceptionally rare, especially from such a volatile period. This bundle offers immense value to collectors of hyperinflation currency, Yugoslavian history, and uncirculated note lots. It's a fascinating conversation piece, historically rich, and visually striking—a preserved slice of economic history that demonstrates the incredible speed and scale of monetary collapse.
